In-Person Absentee Voting (3/28/20 from 9 a.m. to noon)

One additional session of in-person absentee voting has been added for SATURDAY, MARCH 28th from 9 a.m. to noon at the Milton Town Hall, S2794 State Rd. 88 in Fountain City.

If you plan to attend, here are some DO’s and DONT’S:

DO’s
-Download and complete an absentee voter request form located at https://elections.wi.gov/forms/el-121-english and bring it with you on Saturday. Check to box to VOTE IN CLERK’S OFFICE and the 4/7/20 election.
-Keep at least 6′ away from other people. This includes parking your vehicles away from others.
-wash your hands IMMEDIATELY upon entering the town hall in one of bathrooms (keep the door open and don’t touch anything other than the soap dispenser and the faucet handle-which will be sanitized when you leave). We have disposable paper towels which should be thrown in the trash once used
-take one of the Town of Milton pens which you will use to mark your ballot
-Have your photo identification ready to show to the clerk.
-Use the provided cleaning supplies to wipe down your voting area (and chair) once you are done voting.
-Exit the polling area immediately after you have completed voting.

DO NOT’s
-Do not come to the town hall if you are feeling ill AT ALL. You can request that an absentee ballot be mailed to you via myvote.wi.gov
-Do not enter the town hall until being asked or motioned to enter. (We need to keep the traffic to a minimum)
-Do not come to the town hall to vote if you have already requested an absentee ballot.
-Do not touch walls or other objects on your way to the bathroom or your voting station.

Thank you for observing these do’s and don’ts so that we can keep everyone safe.

If you want to request an absentee ballot online and are having issues with myvote.wi.gov, please contact Kalene Engel, Town Clerk, at 608-687-4800 or 507-458-9924.
